  • The admin is the default username and password. After entering the credentials, click on the OK option.
  • The above IP settings are intended for the configuration of the TP-Link web-based interface.

How To Set Up My Range Extender

  • Check if you have the following details for the TP Link wifi extender login to set up the Range Extender configuration. LAN IP, Form of Encryption, SSID, Passphrase.
  • Next, log in to the Management page of the TP Connection wifi extender.
  • Choose a network choice. Check that the IP address of the Range Extender is the same as the router’s IP portion.
  • Alternatively, you can update the IP address to 192.168.1.250 and then press Save.
  • Lick Fast Configuration->Next->Wireless.
  • Select the Range Extender as the mode of operation, and then press Scan.

  • Click Wireless-> Protection for Wireless. Select WPA-PSK/WPA-PSK and AES Encryption and press Save.
  • Click Machine Tools-> Diagnostics to confirm, type the IP address 192.168.1.254 of your router in the IP address bar, and then click Start.
  • Now, set up your computer to automatically receive an IP address.

  1. Plug in a power outlet near your main router with your Range Extender.
  2. On the main router, press the WPS button and then click the WPS button on the Range Extender.
  3. Wait until the light blinks on both the router and the Range Extender with the WPS button.
  4. Also after two minutes, if your Range Extender’s wireless signal LED is off, it means that the WPS mechanism has failed. Again, try clicking the WPS button.
  5. Until you succeed, repeat the above procedure. The Range Extender can be stored where you want to expand the reach of the wireless network.
  6. You will appreciate the wireless network link until you plug into the Range Extender.

  • Open any Web browser of your choosing, such as Safari, Internet Explorer, or Google Chrome, to login to the TP link wifi extender.
  • Type the default IP address of the TP Link Modem router at the top of the browser window, like 192.168.1.1, and then press Enter.
  • According to the model, LAN IP shifts. Find the IP address at the bottom of the package with the name.
  • Now, on the login tab, type your username and password.
  • For the TP Link computers, the default username and password are Admin. In the lower case, enter the password.
  • To login to the TP link wifi extender, click OK.

  • Plug the TP Link Extender into the outlet on the wall.
  • Using the Ethernet cable to connect it to the device.

  • Select the Fast Setup option and press the Next button.
  • Choose your area, then click Next.

  • If you want a single, large wireless network, tap the Copy option on the main router or the Customize option if you want to build a different network.

  • Wait until the wireless LED blinks.
  • Hit the WPS or Reset button on the router.
  • Click the Power button on the TP Link Repeater setup.
  • Now, connect the extender and the device to the ethernet cable.
  • During the setup process, it is important to disconnect your machine from all the wireless networks.
  • Tap on the Wi-Fi network options on the system. From the list available, pick the TP Link network.
  • Open a web browser of your choosing, type http://tplinkextender.net, and then press Enter.
  • The Security page for Windows opens. Use the TP link wifi extender login to enter a username and password.
  • Click the option OK.
  • When the TP Link page opens, select the operation mode, area, and click the Next button.
  • The Wireless configuration page will open. Pick your wireless network, then press Next.
